Spotlight on Aero TMF’s Standout Service: Painting

The Aero TMF team is known for providing superior painting services. Our range of capabilities combined with the expertise of our painters allows us to offer high-quality precision metal finishing services that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Here’s a look at what you can expect from our California metal finishing shop and crucial steps you can take to get your parts finished quickly and accurately.

Diverse Painting Capabilities

Our shop offers painting services for various types of paints and specifications, including military specifications (mil specs) for the military and defense industries. We also use our paint booth to spray dry lube and accommodate additional customer needs. For example, you may want dry lube applied to your parts to repel dust and dirt or resist weathering.

The Aero TMF team excels in multi-process painting. We can mask your parts, apply primer, and continue with a topcoat if your order requires it. One of our specialties is uniformity of color. While other shops struggle to paint gray and white topcoats evenly, our shop shines in this area, having mastered this tricky skill in precision metal finishing.

Flexibility with Part Shapes and Sizes

Aero TMF paints parts of all shapes and sizes in our spray booth. We can handle small parts with complex masking, large parts with easy masking, and everything in between.

Complex masking is a comprehensive process that requires a high level of precision and expertise. Most shops mask parts by cutting tape or another material and applying pieces by hand. While the Aero TMF team has the skills to perform the manual process properly, our die-cut machine extends our capabilities even further.

For example, if there’s a logo on your part that you don’t want to paint, our machine can make a precise cutout to cover the symbol. Specify a masking requirement like this in your order to get the desired results.

Painters with Extensive Experience

Painting Services

Aero TMF’s painters have more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry. They use their specialized knowledge and skills to understand and meet the requirements outlined in your order’s specifications. However, our California metal finishing painters often exceed written expectations by considering preferences, too.

We learn what makes a customer accept or reject a paint order by getting to know them. For example, the specs may allow for slight imperfections in the paint finish, but we know the customer doesn’t like cosmetic flaws. Our team will fix those issues, going beyond paper requirements to guarantee satisfaction.

Crucial Steps Customers Can Take

As an Aero TMF customer, there are two key steps you can take to get the precision metal finishing results you need when you need them.

  • Include the current paint spec in your drawing. We often receive orders where the spec has changed, but the drawing hasn’t been updated. We’ve even run into scenarios where the paint has been discontinued.

  • Keep supply chain challenges top of mind. If you’re planning to place an order, let us know as soon as possible so we can start working on getting your paint. The lead time for certain paints can range anywhere from four weeks to four months.

Taking these steps puts you in the best position for accurate quoting and timely processing of your paint order. Request a quote for our precision metal finishing services today.
